Wes and Jon are the kind of dentists you'd want to sit next to at a CE course — genuinely curious, willing to be wrong, and always interesting.

Best peer-to-peer dental conversation podcast

What I appreciate most about The Dental Guys is that it feels like listening in on a conversation between two smart practitioners, not a scripted podcast with talking points. When Jon and Wes disagree about something — which they do occasionally — the discussion that follows is often more educational than the planned content.

The research commentary episodes are particularly strong. They read actual dental journal papers and discuss them in plain language, which is a format I wish more dental podcasts used.

Real dentists talking like real dentists

Wes and Jon are the kind of dentists you'd want to sit next to at a CE course — genuinely curious, willing to be wrong, and always interesting. Their conversations feel unscripted in the best way. The dental technology coverage in particular is excellent because they come at it as practitioners, not tech evangelists.

The clinical commentary is consistently good and they're willing to push back on industry consensus when the evidence warrants it. Irregular publishing schedule is the main downside.
