The Motivation I Need!
This podcast is so motivational. As a D4 during these pandemic times, it's easy to get down by all the craziness happening, but the podcast is light keeping me doing what I love.
Inspiring to help plan for the future
I'm a 3rd year dental student. Like everyone, my time to listen to podcasts is small. I've tried a lot of dental podcasts. This keeps things to the topic and stays focused on the discussion at hand.
Entertaining, insightful and actionable!
Whether you're well established as a practice owner, or just getting started carving out a profitable niche that's ready to grow — this is a must-listen podcast for you!

Shared Practice Your dental Roadmap
Wonderful informative information at any stage of your dental career. The insight and discussion dives deep to the core of business intelligence and application for consistent duplication.
Start listening before you graduate
I started listening to Shared Practices in my D3 year and I'm so glad I did. The episodes on associateship negotiations, contract red flags, and how to evaluate your first practice have given me a huge head start on colleagues who won't discover this until they're already in a bad situation.
Should be required curriculum in every dental school.
Listened to every episode before my acquisition closed
I went through the entire Shared Practices catalog during my practice acquisition process. The due diligence content, the loan structuring episodes, and the first-year ownership advice were exactly what I needed at exactly the right time.
Dr. Hariri has done the work himself and interviews people who have too. That real-world grounding is everything.
The roadmap to practice ownership I was looking for
Shared Practices is built around one question: how do you go from associate to owner? Dr. Hariri and his team have assembled the most structured curriculum for answering that question that exists in dental podcasting.
The content on evaluating practices, due diligence, and the transition period after purchase gave me a realistic framework I could actually follow.
Essential for associates considering ownership
I'm an associate 4 years out of dental school seriously considering buying a practice. Shared Practices is the podcast I'd recommend to anyone in my position.
The quality of information is excellent and they're not trying to sell you into their paid community — the free podcast is genuinely complete. The interview format works well because they bring in brokers, attorneys, accountants, and practice owners who've been through the process.
Loses one star because I wish they'd update some of the older market-specific content. The dental acquisition market has changed a lot in the last few years and some of the older valuation and financing episodes feel outdated.
Bought my practice thanks to what I learned here
I'm not being hyperbolic — I directly attribute my practice acquisition to the education I got from Shared Practices. When I was considering buying a practice, I didn't know what a good deal looked like, what questions to ask a broker, or how to evaluate a practice's charts.
After about 50 episodes, I had a solid foundation. I knew what EBITDA meant in the dental context, why patient demographics matter, how to spot red flags in a chart audit, and how to think about post-acquisition growth.
Richard and Travis are knowledgeable, humble, and genuinely care about helping dentists. The fact that the podcast is free is almost unbelievable given the quality.
