The mindset content is excellent even if the show is inactive
I found this podcast through a blog post recommending dental business resources. Even though it's not publishing new episodes, the archive on building systems and removing owner dependency is directly relevant to what I'm planning for my future practice.
The treadmill metaphor perfectly captures why so many dentists hate their practices even when they're 'successful.' Worth a listen.
Changed how I think about ownership vs. self-employment
Chuck Blakeman's core distinction between being self-employed and being a business owner is one of the most useful frameworks I've encountered in dental business content. Most dentists are self-employed — they've bought themselves a job. This podcast is about becoming an actual owner.
The back catalog is still highly relevant even though the show is no longer active. The content on delegation, building systems, and removing yourself from the day-to-day is timeless. Highly recommend working through the archive.
