Howard Farran is one of a kind in this industry. He's blunt, sometimes offensive, occasionally inaccurate on details — and also genuinely brilliant and deeply committed to making dentistry better.

With 1,700+ episodes across nearly every dental topic, this is the deepest archive in dental podcasting. If you want to learn about a specific clinical technique, business challenge, or dental speciality, there's almost certainly an episode for it.

I give 4 stars rather than 5 because Howard's humor and style isn't for everyone, and some older episodes haven't aged well. But as a resource for pure dental knowledge breadth, nothing competes.

Some good takeaways here. Not every episode is a winner but the good ones are really good.

Genuine, practical advice from someone who clearly knows the industry well.

Tried listening for a month. The advice feels generic and the host talks over guests too much.
